What we do...

CMS has Compliance Teams residing in Hawaii, Nebraska, Utah, and Washington. 

The teams conduct annual Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) at each property covered under Project-Based Section 8 contracts within each state.  From the MOR, Owners receive a report (HUD-9834) and the teams follow up with Owners on their responses to the MORs.

Each Compliance Team location has a Resident Hotline where resident concerns can be voiced.  These concerns are documented, the Owner/Agent is notified, and follow-up occurs.

As a result of a REAC Physical Inspection, follow-up occurs with the Owner/Agent regarding any Exigent Health and Safety issues until a certification of mitigation is completed.

CMS enjoys an excellent working relationship with HUD.  We work as a team in order to accomplish our role in the overall goal of providing decent, safe and sanitary housing.  On a daily basis we are in contact with HUD Project Managers to discuss issues or provide information.
